Orange County and San Diego Business Journal Recognize Best Companies for County’s Economy, Workforce & Business
Costa Mesa, CA (November 2, 2020) – For the second year in a row, Western Lighting and Energy Controls has been honored as one of the best places to work in San Diego and Orange County! This recognition is no easy feat as the award is dependent on an in-depth analysis of the business’s benefits, policies, and practices that is gathered from employees, employers, as well as benchmarking reports.
This year’s COVID-19 pandemic made quite an impact. As with most businesses, the transition from working in office to working from home was quite the change. It’s worth noting that the surveys for this award were sent in June, well after the appropriate adjustments were made. Despite this, the company has moved up in rank, from last year’s #23 to #9 in San Diego, and #20 to #10 in Orange County.
“We usually have a ton of customer events or team outings, which obviously stopped once quarantine began,” comments Jimm Reifsnyder, Principal of Western Lighting and Energy Controls. “Everyone pitched in to come up with new ways to maintain the business and keep spirits high. This award is really a testament to our staff who make the business for what it is – virtually and in person!”
